Removal of wisdom teeth

Often, the mouth is not big enough for four extra wisdom teeth, wisdom teeth grow in the wrong direction or cause inflammation in the mouth. In such cases, your wisdom teeth will need to be removed under local anaesthesia. To remove your wisdom tooth, the oral surgeon makes a small incision in the gums around the tooth. If necessary, some bone around the molar will also be removed with a small drill. At the Kaak Medisch Centrum, we perform all traditional oral surgery treatments. However, you do need a referral letter to be treated. Your dentist, as well as your GP, can give you this referral letter.
