Diagnosis and treatment of mucosal abnormalities in the oral cavity

The mucous membranes are the lining of your mouth, cheeks, tongue and jaws. Normally, these look nice and pink and healthy. But many different abnormalities can occur, such as white streaks, as well as red bright spots or aphthouses that do not heal on their own. We often take a sample with these kinds of symptoms that needs further examination. A diagnosis can then be made and a treatment plan created. Treatment of mucosal abnormalities varies. Sometimes treatment with medication is sufficient. Sometimes it is necessary to remove the abnormality using laser therapy or surgically. Do you think you suffer from a mucosal abnormality in your mouth? If so, you are welcome for treatment with a referral from your GP or dentist.
